Ben Ruff began working
with Shealy Realty and
Southern Comfort Homes
shortly after getting his
drivers license in high
school and over the next
several years received a
full course of OJT in the
Realtor/Building/Development
business. After graduating
from Batesburg-Leesville, he
attended Clemson University
where he earned a degree in
Rural Economic Development.
While receiving his formal
education, he continued to
work summers and off-hours
with Shealy Realty and
Southern Comfort Homes, with
the exception of a short
time with Centrex Homes.
Today he is the Construction
Manager for Southern Comfort
Homes-estimating,
warranting, and overseeing
the construction process of
some twelve to eighteen
homes per year. Ben is a
Realtor as well and can take
you on a stroll of the new
houses or explain the design
and estimating of a new
custom home. If you're

he is familiar with all lot
and land listings in the
